History, documentary, handbook, textbook, entertaining litterary masterpiece, perspicacious satire behind a cape of harmless chat, whatever by Arvo Tuominen! One cannot but pay attention also to extraordinary good and nailhead hitting translation from Finnish into English by Timothy Binham. Pretty sure this will be my book of the year. I can only admire and congratulate Tuominen for having succeded to include such big amount of first hand information even for me as a global grassroot pacifist along with profound top level hard core world politics of war and peace. Despite all bold comparisons of the three big and cruel Vladimirs (Saint, Lenin, Putin), Putin becomes and appears as a lot more human person than we get him through the daily troll. This book should be, and certainly will be translated also into Russian, even more important than in English. The Finnish version should be included in any World view education courses. A 30-40 page abbreviation would be welcome to common hand on both sides of our eastern border.
Without going to the endles delicious details of the text I can only recommend it and put my mark of full five stars on it.

История, документальный источник, справочник, учебник, занимательный литературный шедевр, прозорливая сатира за плащом безобидной болтовни - что угодно Арво Туоминена! Нельзя не обратить внимание и на необычайно хороший и хитрый перевод с финского на английский Тимоти Бинхэма. Совершенно уверен, что это будет моя книга года. Я могу только восхищаться и поздравлять Туоминена за то, что ему удалось включить такой большой объем информации из первых рук даже для меня, как глобального низового пацифиста, наряду с глубокой жесткой мировой политикой войны и мира на высшем уровне. Несмотря на все смелые сравнения трех больших и жестоких Владимира (Святой, Ленин, Путин), Путин становится и выглядит гораздо более человечным человеком, чем мы получаем его через ежедневных троллей. Эта книга должна быть и обязательно будет переведена также на русский язык, даже более важный, чем на английский. Финская версия должна быть включена в любой курс обучения мировоззрению. Сокращение на 30-40 страниц будет приветствоваться в общей руке по обе стороны нашей восточной границы.
Не вдаваясь в восхитительные подробности текста, я могу только рекомендовать его и поставить на него свои пять звезд.

Historia, dokumentti, käsikirja, oppikirja, viihdyttävä kirjallinen mestariteos, terävää satiiria vaarattoman keskustelun takana, mitä Arvo Tuominen onkaan kirjoittanut! Huomiota ei voi olla kiinnittämättä myöskään Timothy Binhamin naulan kantaan osuvaan englanninkieliseen käännökseen. Melko varma, että tämä on vuoden kirjani. Voin vain ihailla ja onnitella Tuomista siitä, että hän on onnistunut sisällyttämään niin suuren määrän ensikäden tietoja myös minulle, globaalille ruohonjuuritason pasifistille, syvällisen huipputason kovan sodan ja rauhan politiikan kuvauksen ohella. Kolmen suuren ja julman Vladimirin (Pyhä, Lenin, Putin), rohkeasta vertailusta huolimatta Putinista tulee ja hänessä on paljon enemmän ihmistä kuin mitä me saamme hänestä kuvan päivittäisen trollin kautta. Tämän kirjan tulisi olla, ja varmasti se käännetäänkin myös venäjäksi, vielä tärkeämpi se olisi kuin englanniksi. Suomenkielinen versio tulisi sisällyttää kaikkiin maailmankatsomuskursseihin. 30-40 sivun lyhenne olisi tervetullut tavallisen kansan käteen itärajamme molemmin puolin.
